Tuberculosis genomics & epidemiology
"Tuberculosis genomics, drug resistance and country-level epidemiology."
About the resource
The TB Portals (NIAID) host a curated patient-level dataset of clinical, imaging, microbiological and Mycobacterium tuberculosis whole-genome data across cases from high-burden countries — particularly focused on multi-drug-resistant TB. The WHO Global TB Programme publishes annual country-level estimates of incidence, prevalence, mortality, treatment outcomes and drug-resistance through the Global TB Report.
Together they form the dominant resources for TB epidemiology and genomics, complemented by ReSeqTB and the Genome-to-Drug-Resistance Mycobacteria curation efforts.
What you'd use it for
- 01Pull country-level TB incidence, mortality and treatment-outcome data
- 02Analyse Mycobacterium tuberculosis genomes alongside drug-susceptibility
- 03Cross-reference MDR-TB prevalence with treatment-regimen outcomes
- 04Benchmark a national TB program against regional comparators
