About the resource

DrugBank, originally developed at the University of Alberta and now operated commercially by OMx Personal Health Analytics, is one of the most comprehensive integrated drug resources. Each drug record consolidates chemical properties, pharmacology, mechanism of action, targets, enzymes/transporters, drug–drug interactions, FDA-approved and off-label indications, contraindications, ADRs, dosing, food interactions and references.

The academic-tier dataset is widely used in cheminformatics, pharmacogenomics, drug-repositioning and pharmacovigilance research; commercial-tier data feeds clinical-decision-support systems worldwide.
